Tigers finish 11th at Point University Skyhawk Invitational at Callaway Gardens

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Coming off a solid performance at the Georgetown College Invitational, Campbellsville University men's golf finished in 11^th place at the Point University Skyhawk Invitational.

The Tigers finished the three-round tournament with scores of 317, 315, 312 after playing 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

Senior Justin Warman led the way after battling back from a subpar Monday where he shot 78 and 79. He rallied with a two-over 74 on Tuesday to finish tied for 31^st.

Landon Conner led the Tigers after round one with a four-over 76 but then fell off the pace shooting 79 and 80 in his final two rounds.

Seth Bohl placed tied for 45^th after rounds of 79, 79, 80. Austin Mahoney was right behind Bohl in 49^th place. Mahoney shot an 84 in round one then finished with matching 78s in the second and third rounds.

Layton Hord, playing as an individual, finished tied for 52^nd with rounds of 81, 81, 79 and Clay Barnett was in 92^nd place after rounds of 87, 91, 87.

The Callaway Gardens was playing pretty tough overall as on 13 players had sub-par rounds with the average overall being 81.5 per 18 holes.

The host, Point University, won the tournament of USC Beaufort by 14 strokes. They were the lone team to shoot in the 200s as a team in each round.

Campbellsville now has only one day to prepare for the Lawrence tech Spring Break Invitational at Grand National Golf Club in Opelika, Ala.
