CU Sports Network to air 31 events during fall semester, including JV games

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Campbellsville University Sports Network announces it will produce and broadcast 31 games for eight different teams during the fall semester beginning on Monday, September 21st

Within the 31 games, 14 of them are JV contests while 17 are varsity. The varsity games include men's soccer, women's volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball. The JV events include baseball, softball, women's soccer, and men's basketball (JV women's basketball games will be added at a later date).

The first production on the docket during this semester is for Lady Tiger soccer. The JV women's team will host Asbury University on Monday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. ET. Zach Clements will call the action.

In addition to Clements, Tony Fonzo, Brett Tudela, Zak Wilson and Matt Payton will all call games on air during 2020-21.

"Due to COVID-19 and the majority of our fall regular season events being moved to the spring semester, it has allowed our department to provide broadcasts for JV events on a regular basis," said Jordan Alves, sports information director and broadcast coordinator. "Our goal is to provide multi-camera productions with replay and graphics for as many events as possible during the fall semester.

"COVID-19 has forced us to be more creative in how we produce games and how our control rooms will be setup. For example, since the Finley Stadium press box construction will not be finished, we will be producing all soccer games from the control room at the baseball stadium – which is adjacent from the soccer stadium. We will also have to reorganize our volleyball control room due to space considerations and best practices for social distancing. Over the last two years, we have been very fortunate to expand five athletic facilities with professional broadcast control rooms. With these upgrades, it allows us to stream live games worldwide via the CU Sports Network."
