WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Needing a win to have a chance to defend their NCCAA crown, the Campbellsville University men's volleyball team was able to pull off a 3-1 over Lancaster Bible College on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers earned second, third, and fourth set wins of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-22 after falling in a tight first set 30-28. CU had a significant offensive advantage over the Chargers in the match as Campbellsville finished with 62 kills and a .338 attack percentage compared to 36 kills and a .137 attack percentage for LBC.

Isaac Paches also finished with double digit kills as he added 10 on 19 total attacks while adding four digs.

Defensively, libero Jay Montalvo and yesterday's leader in kills Jose Viera Cerame combined for 33 of the team's 61 total digs to limit the Chargers' attack in the match. On the front row, CU finished with only four team blocks as Noah Henkel had his hands on three of the blocks with one solo and two assists, Ho Yin Leung had a pair of block assists with Cruz and Matos also adding a block assist each.

Elijah Herb (15) and Daniel Keene (11) led the way for the Chargers on the attack with the next highest kill total on the team being four. Tanner Shertzer and Kyran Flahive each finished with double digits digs in the match as the back row for LBC was busy through four sets.

This will put Campbellsville in the championship match later tonight around 7 p.m. ET from Wiston-Salem N.C. as they will matchup with Ottawa University Arizona in a rematch of the 2020 NCCAA Invitational Championship.
