Lady Tigers selected to finish second in tough Mid-South Conference

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Mid-South Conference Softball Coaches voted Campbellsville University to finish second in the 2021 spring season.

The Lady Tigers earned 87 voting points overall and one first-place vote. Lindsey Wilson earned 99 points and nine first place votes to be tabbed as the favorites to capture the MSC regular season title.

Georgetown College followed in third place with 72 points and the final first-place vote.

The Mid-South Conference gained three new members this season – Freed-Hardeman, Martin Methodist and Bethel University. All three were voted to finish fifth through seventh, respectively.

The Lady Tigers finished last season with a 12-7 record before COVID-19 shocked the world. Campbellsville returns the strength of its 2020 team including All-American Tori Humphrey at third base and All-Conference numerous performers throughout their career - Payton Blades, Riley Hurst, Ryley Whitney, Mia Aldridge, Hannah Judd, and Ryleigh Oldham.

Campbellsville is scheduled to open the season in the Sunshine State with a six-game three-time swing against Warner University, Southeastern University, and Webber International on Feb. 11-13.
