GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Tigers traveled to Cherry Blossom for the Georgetown College Invite Monday and Tuesday and Campbellsville University men's golf was able to capture the overall team victory.
The Tigers were led by
Landon Conner, Jonathan Brewington, and
Austin Mahoney who all carded in the top five of individual finishers. Conner shot three-over-par the first day but rebounded to shoot three-under-par in round two to jump into the top three. Brewington (72-73) and Mahoney (72-73) saw inverse performances in their play over two days to secure their tied-for-fourth placement.
Dominic Ramsey (T-8 with 76-71) and
Kobe Hill (T-10 with 76-73) were able to improve on their first days and slide into the top ten for the invite.
Seth Bohl was consistent shooting 75-75 to place T-13.
Connor Wilson also competed carding a 79 in the first round and an 80 in the second.
Campbellsville University men's golf shot 586 as a team, besting the second place University of Pikeville Bears by eight strokes. The best individual performer proved to be Pikeville's Blake Maupin who finished the invite three-under-par, the only men's golfer to go under.
Next up for the Tigers will be the Mid-South Conference Fall Championship in Bowling Green, Ky. at the Bowling Green Country Club November 1
