GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Lady Tigers were in first as a team after the opening round at Cherry Blossom with a six-stroke lead but fell to second by the invitational's end.
The Lady Tigers shot 623 for the invite barely succumbing to first place Cumberland University by four strokes.
The Campbellsville University women's golf team traversed the course effectively at the Georgetown College Invite. The opening round saw
Gracie Parrott leading the field scoring a 74 with
Connor Geralds right behind her tied-for-second with a 75. Both would finish the second day slipping a place to second and third respectively.
Abbie Coffey finished in the top ten as well with an eighth place showing finding consistency with a 79-78 across both rounds.
April Houk joined her carding a 76 good for fifth place for the first round and ultimately an 83 for Tuesday finishing tied-for-tenth.
Cortney Withrow shot double 86's to end the invitational T-30,
Paige Ferguson would finish T-34 shooting double 88's, and
Belle Crawford logged a 92-100 T-47.
The Lady Tigers will now prepare and head to the Mid-South Conference Fall Championship in Bowling Green, Ky. at the Bowling Green Country Club November 1
st and 2
nd.
