CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – From start to finish, the Tigers asserted dominance over Campbellsville-Harrodsburg in a 6-0 victory Sunday evening.
Campbellsville maintained offensive dominance by scoring within the third minute of play. Midfielder, Antonio Quinta pressed toward the Pioneer goal setting the tone for the Tigers. Yuso Kojima made his first varsity appearance ensuing him to score two goals in the first half and adding a third goal in the second half for his first career hat trick.
The Tigers kept the pressure high in the second half of play. The Pioneers displayed more intense defense, but nothing that the Tigers couldn't handle as shots were taken toward the opposing goal within two minutes of play. Campbellsville continued their tread toward the Pioneers goal bringing on two more points scored by duo Quinta and Kojima. Kojima had himself a night along with a hat trick he was able to add two assists.
On the stat sheet Campbellsville dominated the shot count. They were able to put 25 shots on frame total while the defense was able to hold the Pioneers to one shot on frame total.
In the net Kevin Zamora had his first career start against the Pioneers. He had a one save out of the two shots taken due to the Tigers exhaustive defense.
The Tigers will close out their regular season as they travel to #14 ranked Lindsey Wilson College this Thursday, October 28th. The match will begin at 8 p.m. ET.
