Morris leads Lady Tigers at the Lynne Jordan and Thomas N Memorial Tournaments over the weekend

LOUISVILLE, KY. – Campbellsville was able to finish just outside the top ten in the Lynne Jordan Memorial and seventh overall at the Thomas N Burris Memorial tournament over the weekend.
 
In the Lynn Jordan Memorial Campbellsville was able to collect 4,493 points in team play while in baker play they were able to jump their overall team score to 6,488. 
 
During the baker play, the Lady Tigers saved their best two frames for last. Their 11th and 12th frames were 213 followed by 199. 
 
Shelbi Morris and Morgan Stone were the top Lady Tigers on the day. Morris bowled a five game score of 934 with a 186.8 average while Stone was close behind at 923 total for her five game stretch and an 184.6 average.
 
In the Thomas N Burris Memorial tournament, Lady Tigers cracked the top ten mark with a team score of 6,862. In the team frames on the day, 
 
Campbellsville had a score of 4,660. They were able to maintain a lead after the first frame bowling a 247 but were unable to eclipse the 200 mark during the rest of baker play.
 
Morris was once again the top bowler for the Lady Tigers. She was able to place 12th overall with her five game score of 1003 with her average of 200.6. Mirena Combs was close behind her placing 16th overall. Combs' game high came in the third game when she bowled a 228. She would end up bowling a five game score total of 995.
 
The Lady Tigers will have a month off before returning to action. They will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for the Southeast Matchplay Challenge.
