BOWLING GREEN, KY – The Mid-South Conference announced the All-Conference teams Wednesday afternoon and Campbellsville was able to collect four student athletes making the teams.
Lady Tigers were led by
Salma Gonzalez-Sosa and
Paige Merrick making First Team All-Conference. Both have been a pivotal part of the teams offense and defense this season. Gonzalez-Sosa leads the team in digs with 475 on the season while also bringing in 63 assists.
Senior
Paige Merrick has not slowed down ever since her freshman season. This year, Merrick has brought in 824 assists, 272 digs, and 73 kills. She has assisted on 71 percent of the Lady Tigers points this season.
Making the Second Team All-Conference was
Sonia Flendrich and
Cierra Merrick. Flendrich has been a main target for
Paige Merrick since they first came in together in 2018. This season Flendrich has been able to contribute to the Lady Tigers attack with 181 kills while also keeping the defense up with 172 digs.
Cierra has taken the conference by storm with her presence from the start of the year. Cierra has 245 kills on the season along with, 85 digs, and 43 blocks to add to her early career resume.
The Lady Tigers are set to take on the winner of Cumberland University and the Unviersity of the Pikeville Thursday November 11
th at 4 p.m. ET. That match will take place in Bowling Green, KY.
