BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Campbellsville University men's golf team finished their 2021 play November 2
nd with a seventh-place finish in the Mid-South Conference Fall Classic.
The opening round beginning November 1
st saw the Tigers end the day sixth with a team score of 610 (+34). The best Campbellsville first day performance was
Austin Mahoney who shot three-over-par with a 75.
Seth Bohl, participating individually, performed second-best with a 77.
Jon Brewington and
Kobe Hill trailed just behind shooting 78's,
Dominic Ramsey scored 79,
Landon Conner logged an 80, and
Connor Wilson ended the round with an 84.
Six of the seven participants shot better in the second round compared to the first and the Tigers ended the first day in sixth place. Then, the second day hosted the third and final leg of the Classic. Of the 68 total golfers, Mahoney (T-8), Bohl (T-8), and Brewington (T-17) all finished in the top 20. Campbellsville golf also saw Ramsey (T-34), Wilson (T-44), Hill (T-46), and Conner (T-52) cap off their performances.
The Cumberland University Phoenix finished the Classic in first place three strokes ahead of the two teams tied for second place: Lindsey Wilson College and the University of Tennessee Southern. Campbellsville was seventh place, four strokes behind Thomas More University and just one ahead of Pikeville. Justin Johns of Tennessee Southern captured the first-place individual finish.
