Lady Tigers open up home schedule with Tuesday evening matchup with Life

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Coming off of their Mid-South Conference opening loss, the Campbellsville University women's soccer team will host their first home game at Finley Stadium this Tuesday when they welcome Life University for a 4 p.m. ET start time.
 
ATTENDANCE AND BROADCAST INFORMATION
  • No spectators will be allowed to enter Finley Stadium due to the ongoing construction around the field for the stadium box and bleachers.
  • The game will air on the CU Sports Network online at www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch as Zach Clements will be on the call for the MSC tilt.
 
LADY TIGER NOTES
  • Campbellsville dropped their MSC opener to Cumberlands on Saturday by a final score of 3-1 as they gave up goals in the 25th, 52nd, and 73rd minutes.
  • CU got a late goal from Jessie Bryson in the 88th minutes off of an assist from Abigail Proctor to make the game 3-1 but it was a little too late for the comeback.
  • The Patriots held possession for a significant amount of the game outshooting the Lady Tigers 17-7 and earning two more corner kicks in the game.
  • Goalkeeper Katelyn Young had her hands full in the first game of the spring season and was still able to make six saves despite giving up those three goals.
 
SCOUTING LIFE
  • The Running Eagles have started 0-2 in the start of their MSC season as they dropped games to Cumberlands (3-0) and Lindsey Wilson as the Blue Raiders pulled out a 2-1 win in double overtime.
  • In the fall, Life went 4-0-1 with wins against Toccoa Falls, Carolina University, Dalton State, and Faulkner.
  • Life's Sarah Slingluff leads the team with four goals on the season as she scored all of her goals in the fall season.
  • Goalkeeper Emily Hounsell has played every minute for the Running Eagles to make 23 saves for a .724 save percentage and has allowed eight total goals in 649 minutes of game action.

  • Up next for Campbellsville will be a trip to Pikeville, Ky. for a matchup with the University of Pikeville on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
