CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Coming off of an exciting opening quarter and slow finish, the Campbellsville University football team will look to play a full four quarters this Friday when they travel to Pikeville, Ky. to face University of Pikeville for a 3 p.m. ET kickoff.
No visiting fans will be permitted into the game according to Pikeville's COVID-19 attendance policies but there are many ways to follow the game. UPike will provide a video stream at

TIGER NOTES
- In their opener against Thomas More, CU outscored the Saints 21-6 in the first quarter including a game-opening trick play that sprung receiver Tate Pringle 74 yards for a touchdown just 17 seconds into the game.
- Freshman Chase Elmore will get the start once again as he saw early success, throwing for three touchdowns but he also threw three interceptions that were all returned for touchdowns that ended up being the determining factor in the game.
- Pringle shined in his Tiger debut with four catches for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns that led to the junior transfer earning the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week.
- CU's defense had a decent performance as a whole, only giving up 27 of the 48 points scored but only managed to force one turnover on an Andrew Bennett forced fumble and fumble recovery.
- The Tigers also provided pressure on Thomas More's quarterback but could not bring him down to record a sack in the game, managing only four tackles for a loss as well.
- Transfer linebacker Jon Carrothers had a strong game in his Tiger debut, leading the team with 10 total tackles with three solo tackles and seven assisted stops.
SCOUTING PIKEVILLE
- The Bears were shutout 49-0 by Lindsey Wilson in their opening game on Feb. 12 as they were thoroughly outplayed by the Blue Raiders.
- UPike is a team that relies on a run-first offense as they only threw the ball 14 times despite trailing the majority of the contest as they attempted 42 rushes for only 33 net yards on the ground.
- Defensively they were able to force a single turnover on an interception recorded by Timothy Butler as their leading tackler in Christopher Dublin recording five solo tackles.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Campbellsville will lace them up for the first time at home when they welcome Bethel to Campbellsville for a game on Mar. 5 that was rescheduled from Feb. 12 at Finley Stadium with the start time still to be determined.
