Warman's 70 sits him tied for first, Ramsey's 73 sits him tied for fourth after Day 1 at Pinehurst

PINEHURST, N.C. — Justin Warman fired a two-under 70 in his spring debut at Pinehurst Golf Club and the Tigers sit seven strokes out of first place after Day 1 of the Georgetown College Spring Invitational.

The Tigers shot 306 as a team and are sitting in fourth place overall. Southeastern University shot 299 and is leading by two strokes over Truett-McConnell (301) and six strokes over Faulkner University (305)

Warman led CU with his two-under round after he finished with five birdies, a bogey and a double. He's in a three-way tie with Southeastern's Noah Endicott and Truett-McConnell's Luke Peavy.

Dominic Ramsey fired a one-over 73 in the opening round – which matches his second-best score of the season after transferring to CU. He finished with a double bogey on the par-five 10^th hole before carding three straight bogeys after that. With those five shots lost, Ramsey's four birdies would have put him ahead of the field. He's currently tied for fourth place – three strokes off the leaders.

Jon Brewington carded only one birdie while shooting eight-over 80. He's currently tied for 19^th.

Landon Conner and Seth Bohl both shot 83s to be tied for 30^th. Bohl is playing as an individual this week so his score will not count towards the team score.

Austin Mahoney is tied for 35^th place after firing an 84.

Round two of the Georgetown College Invitational is set to begin on Tuesday morning at Pinehurst.
