CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Coming into Thursday night only dropping one set in six-straight wins, the Campbellsville University fell to Thomas More University 3-2 on the road for their first loss since Mar. 4.
The Lady Tigers were up 2-1 in the match before TMU picked things up and won the final two sets as the set scores went 23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-15, 15-13 for the Saints.
The big shift came in the fourth set when CU hit for a negative percentage at -.026 with the Saints having their best hitting percentage of the night at .371 to earn that 10-point set win. Thomas More finished out the match hitting .321 to narrowly win the fifth set despite Campbellsville picking up their percentage to .103 in the set.
TMU's Emily Mohs finished the match with 29 kills on 69 swings with only six attack errors while adding 15 digs for a double-double. Campbellsville's leader on the attack was
Sophie Ball as she finished with 15 kills and a .207 hitting percentage while also having a double-double with 17 digs.
Sonia Flendrich (10 kills and 21 digs) and
Paige Merrick (38 assists and 23 digs) also had double-doubles for the Lady Tigers with
Sutton Mason adding 13 kills from the outside but it was a struggle for the remainder of the CU attacking group.

Katie Morin had a strong night with 22 digs and defensive specialist
Taylor Thacker also added eight digs from the back row, but the middle blockers combined for only 11 kills between four players and CU only had five total blocks as a team.
The Lady Tigers will return home on Saturday to host Shawnee State University at Gosser Gymnasium for a 2 p.m. first serve against the Bears.
