CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – Starting off the post season the Lady Tigers were able to pull away from Freed-Hardeman with a 3-1 win Monday evening.
Milena Derougeur and
Rebecca Lilley were in sync in the first half. Derougeur fed Lilley two separate balls that found the back of the net.
The first came in the 10
th minute with a low cross into the box with Lilley finishing in the back post. Less than three minutes later in the 13
th minute Derougeur sent a long ball where Lilley was able to get a head on the ball to get her second goal of the night.
The Lions were able to capitalize on a free ball in the box when Alyssa Musselman was able to get the ball past freshman keeper
Irene Piazzi who received her first start of her career to make the score 2-1 at halftime.
Campbellsville had 28 shots during the course of the match while 15 of those shots were on frame.
Jessie Bryson had six shots on goal when her last shot was able to go in during the final seconds of the 90
th minute to end the match at a 3-1 victory.
The Lady Tigers now move onto the quarter finals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament and will face the three seed Lindsey Wilson Friday April 2 at 6:30 p.m. CST in Columbia, KY.
