Chase Elmore named MSC Bluegrass Division Offensive Freshman of the Year

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Chase Elmore was named the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division Offensive Freshman of the Year, officials announced on Thursday afternoon. 
 
The freshman quarterback from White Mills, Ky. led the Campbellsville University passing attack throwing for 968 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 193.6 yards per game.

The MSC Freshman of the Year honor is the second in CU history since the conference adopted the award. Elmore joins Jaceree "Pop" Caldwell (2017) as the two recipients in the four-year history of the award.\

This season, Elmore threw for a season-high in the opener vs. Thomas More. He was 18-of-29 for 218 yards and three touchdowns – which is also a game-high in TD passes. Elmore threw for multiple touchdowns in the first three games of the year – three vs. Thomas More and two each vs. Pikeville and Bethel.
