CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – The Campbellsville University women's golf team dropped one spot in the team standings at the final day of the Mid-South Conference Spring Preview at Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain Golf Course Tuesday as they finished fourth in the field of nine MSC teams.
As a team, the Lady Tigers shot a collective 332 (+44) to finish with a two-round total of 654 (+78) in fourth place. That dropped Campbellsville 22 strokes behind the third place finisher Cumberland University as the Lady Tigers and Phoenix were tied after day one.
University of the Cumberlands won the tournament with a two-round score of 607 (+31) after 303 and 304 scores in each round as UC's Carlee Shoemaker won the individual tournament with a pair of rounds of 72 to finish the tournament at even.
Individually for Campbellsville,
Gracie Parrott finished highest on the leaderboard in 11
th place with a bounce back performance after her 84 on Monday to shoot a 74 (+2) on Tuesday.
Abbie Coffey (164),
Paige Ferguson (165), and
Connor Geralds (167) finished grouped together in 16
th, 17
th, and 18
th to close out their tournament with top-20 finishes. Courtney Withrow rounded out the individual scoring for the Lady Tigers with a two-round total of 187 and a 40
th place finish.
Campbellsville will have a week away from official competition to prepare for the Mid-South Conference Championships on May 5-7 at Bowling Green Country Club.
