Jim Ward earns second-straight Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year honor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Following the first Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship for the Campbellsville University men's golf team since 2008, head coach Jim Ward was named the MSC Coach of the Year for the second-straight season.

Ward also earned the honor during the 2018-19 season, the last time a season was completed due to the 2019-20 season being cut short in the spring due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Ward earned the honor of Coach of the Year by receiving the most votes amongst his head coaching peers inside of the Mid-South Conference.

The Tigers won five tournaments this season including both the Mid-South Conference Spring Invite and the MSC Tournament Championship. With those five wins this season, Ward pushes his five-season win total to 13 tournaments as the head coach at Campbellsville - which breaks the record passing the late PJ Throckmorton's total at 12.

Ward will be retiring as the head coach following this season as he will be taking CU to their first ever trip to the NAIA Championship final site as a team as they will now prepare to go to Silvis, Ill. on May 18-21 to compete at TPC Deere Run.
