Gracie Parrott named NAIA Women's Golf All-American after winning individual championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For just the third time in program history, Lady Tiger golf has an NAIA All-American after Gracie Parrott not only won the Mid-South Conference Championship but also the NAIA Individual Championship.

Parrott joins Cassidy Scantland Decker as the lone All-Americans in program history and also Scantland and Lauren Scholl (2006) as the only three to win a conference title along with qualifying for the NAIA Championship. Scantland won the individual MSC title twice (2014 and 2016) while Scholl won in 2006. Their best finish at the NAIA Championship was 34th

Parrott shot her second-best score of the week with a 70 (-2) in the fourth-round finishing with a total score at 287 (-1). Parrott's 287 came after a first round 69 (-3), second round 73 (+1), third round 75 (+3) combined with the final round 70 to finish as the only player under par for the tournament.

With the title, Parrott becomes the first ever NAIA Individual National Champion in the sport of golf on either the men's or women's side in the history of Campbellsville University. She also earned the honor of All-Tournament Team as one of the top 15 individual players in the tournament.
