BOWLING GREEN, KY – Lady Tigers began their season with a runner-up finish at the Baker-Shootout at Southern Lanes this weekend.
It was a two-day event in which the Lady Tigers kept the momentum strong. The team finished with a point total of 7,188 while Tennessee Southern won the invitational with a total of 7,594 points. Mid-South Conference powerhouse University of Pikeville finished third behind Campbellsville with their point total of 7,098.
After day one the Lady Tigers had the lead after the team having nine frames eclipsing the 200 point total mark. On day two the team was only able to hit that point total two times.
Over the course of the two day invitational, the teams each bowled 40 frames. Campbellsville averaged a score of 179.7 per frame.
Campbellsville will now have close to a month off before returning to action. They will travel Louisville to take on the Lynne Jordan/Tomas N. Burris Memorial Tournament.
