CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – An early second half onslaught of goals helped the Lady Tigers finished their senior night with a 5-1 Mid-South Conference win over Bethel University.
The action of the match was stagnant for the first 23 minutes of play. The Lady Tigers worked their way up field to open up opportunity for
Sangmin Cha to score. When the Wildcats attempted to even the score,
Rirei Sasaki's save kept Campbellsville in the lead. The competition consisted of both teams quietly exchanging the ball, but neither team could find the net again. The half came to an end and Campbellsville led 1-0.
The second half rewarded the Lady Tigers as they busted open their lead.
Lina Berrah was first to score in the latter half at the 46
th minute. The 47
th minute consisted of goals provided by
Angeline Kieh and
Agatha Nimene. Nimene doubled back just a minute later to amass her second goal of the night. After the collection of goals, Campbellsville led 5-0. Bethel would add a goal soon after Campbellsville's fifth goal.
Campbellsville finished their match with a 5-1 score. Goals provided by Berrah, Cha, Kieh, and Nimene accompanied by tight defense secured the win for the Lady Tigers. Sasaki completed her night with three saves.
The Lady Tigers will head to Lindsey Wilson College to close out regular season on Thursday, October 27
th beginning at 6 P.M. ET.
