COLUMBIA, KY – Campbellsville traveled 19 miles for the Battle of Highway 55 tonight. The Lady Tigers drew with the Blue Raiders 2-2 for the first time in program history.
The game started out fast as both teams traded possession. A ball snuck through early in the fourth minute for the Blue Raiders, but it was Rirei Sasaki making a huge save.
A CU foul put LWC with a free kick right outside of the box in the 22

. Sasaki would stand strong again picking up her second save. Three minutes later, Angeline Kieh ripped one from 35-yards out just going over the crossbar. Moments later Kieh would find Sangmin Cha back post with a great opportunity.
The remainder of the first half would simmer out while each team fought for control. Campbellsville would lead Lindsey Wilson in shots 8-5, with both putting two on frame. Kieh would lead the aggressive Tiger attack with four of those shots. Rayssa De Souza would have three of the LWC shots. Each keeper would finish the half with a pair of saves.

nd minute, Sasaki would be called on again after a header found the frame from a corner. Five minutes later, the Blue Raiders tested Rirei again and the freshman stood her ground.
Kieh would take a touch around the defender and put the Lady Tigers up in the 63
rd minute 1-0. She continues her streak of scoring in every single conference game this season.
The Blue Raiders didn't hold back long, forcing two consecutive corners. On the second opportunity, Rirei picked up another save. The ball held steady in the defensive third. The backline couldn't find a clearance and Lindsey Wilson would equalize in the 66
th minute of action.
Campbellsville would counter in the 79
th minute and Agatha Nimene would smash the net for the go-ahead goal. The Tigers would drop back in pressure, as the freshman Sasaki saved two more. Lindsey would take the wind out with a late blow in the 84
th minute.
Both teams would fire 17 shots, as CU put seven on frame. Rirei Sasaki would record 10 saves on the night.
The Lady Tigers wrapped up their regular season tonight. They have secured the 5
th seed in the Mid-South Conference tournament and received a bye in the opening round. CU will travel to 4
th seeded Cumberland University next week.
