Johnston's interim status removed, announced as Head Coach

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University Athletic Director Jim Hardy announces the removal of Peyton Johnston's interim title and new designation as Head Coach of the women's volleyball team.

"It has been a great pleasure for me to observe as Peyton Johnston came into this program and immediately energized play to championship levels," Hardy shared. "Because of the professionalism and intense preparation she has shown in developing our women's volleyball program, on behalf of Rusty Hollingsworth and myself, we are happy to announce that we are removing the interim status from Peyton's title and officially naming her as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Campbellsville University. We look forward to her continued development of champions on and off the court."

"Receiving this position from the University allows me to continue this role with confidence and a thriving passion," Johnston said. "I would like to thank President Hopkins, V.P. Hollingsworth, A.D. Hardy, many other CU Athletic staff, and my family for supporting me through my time as the interim coach. I am proud to represent this University as a coach and hope to continue to serve in this role as a leader, mentor, and guide to our student-athletes. Go Tigers!"
