BOWLING GREEN, KY. – Campbellsville took the course to Bowling Green for the Mid-South Conference Championship on Friday afternoon. The Tigers finished with 131 points, placing fifth out of 11 teams.
Lukas Smithson paved the way for Campbellsville, slotting in seventh place with a time of 27:15.2. Smithson was awarded First Team All-Conference honors.
Dakota Brady was the second Tiger to cross the finish line in 27:31.5. Brady earned Second Team All-MSC as he finished in 11
th place.
Samuel Bennett crossed the line in 28:48.9, ending in 32
nd place. Taking the four spot was
Myles Smithson, ending the race with a time of 28:49.9. Rounding out the top five was
Trevor Hansen with his time of 29:28.6.
Alex Steen finished with a time of 30:10.1 and
Caleb Flanagan crossed in 30:17.5, wrapping up the top seven.
Lukas Smithson was the fourth individual not on the qualifying team, placing him in the 2022 NAIA Men's Cross County National Championship. He will travel to Tallahassee, Florida on November 18th for that race. Campbellsville will conclude the season at the NCCAA Championships in Joplin, MO. next weekend.
