CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – Lady Tigers handled business in the final game before Christmas with a 78-52 win over the Miami University (Hamilton) Harriers.
In the first-quarter, Campbellsville was the offensive aggressor.
Sarah Sutton was already lighting it up from three-point range, hitting four of five. Lady Tigers held the Harriers to six first-quarter points. Miami had six turnovers in the first quarter compared to Campbellsville's two.
The second quarter proved no different than the first.
Lauren Lee collected five assists through the first 20 minutes of action.
Bailey Pedigo had five rebounds, while
Maddie Nalley brought down four rebounds in the first half.
In the third-quarter, the Lady Tiger offense slowed down with only 16 points. Campbellsville was able to hold the Harriers to nine points in the third.
Campbellsville was able to close out the game with four athletes in double-figure scoring.
Kayla Luebbe had 15 points, Sutton finished with 14, Kaitlyn Wilks had 13, and
Courtney Pritchett finished her night with 12. Lady Tigers shot 28-62 (45.2) from the floor. They saw 27 points off turnovers, dished out 27 assists, and had 22 steals on the day.
Lady Tigers will have a week off before returning to the court in the St. Thomas University Classic in Miami, Florida. They will face off against Florida Memorial University on Thursday, December 29th, for a 2 p.m. tip-off and will meet St. Thomas University on Friday, December 30th, for another 2 p.m. tip.
