Round three struggles land Tigers in seventh place

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Tigers golf team headed south to compete in their first competition of 2022 at the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club February 21st and 22nd. As a team, Campbellsville shot a score of 938 (+74) for seventh place.
 
After the first round, the Tigers found themselves in fifth after hitting a combined 306. The second day saw them slip a spot to sixth despite again stroking 306. The third and final round was a struggle dropping 20 strokes to collect 326.
 
The top individual performing Tigers were Seth Bohl and Austin Mahoney who both were in a four-way tie for 24th place. Bohl had a 76 (+4) in the first and second rounds while hitting an 80 (+8) to finish the invitational. Mahoney had a better first and second rounds (+3 and +2 respectively) but had a bigger decline on the concluding day with an 83 (+11).
 
Kobe Hill finished T-30th (+19), Jonathan Brewington was T-33rd (+21), Dominic Ramsey rounded out his play at T-36th (+24), Landon Conner posted 42nd (+35), and Clay Barnett ended 44th (+49).
 
Next, Campbellsville men's golf will be at the Wolfpack Invitational in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 21st and 22nd.
