JOHNSON CITY, TN. – Tigers sharpen up racing at the Buccaneer Invitational over the weekend.
 
Shawn Little and Dakota Brady were the key highlights of the weekend. Little was able to run a 15:31.25 in the 5,000m run while Brady was close behind at 15:37.07 which qualifies them both for the upcoming NCCAA Championships.
 
Sam Kiser hit his NCCAA mark in the 800m run. Kiser placed fifth overall in the event with a time of 1:57.20. Aiden Tucker and Alex Steen were trailing Kiser in the event. Tucker placed 11^th overall with a time of 2:00.77 while Steen was 17^th at 2:05.01.
 
Lukas Smithson was the final distance event key performer. Smithson placed 29^th at 4:38.46.
 
David Young had a big day in the long jump. Young set a lifetime best with a mark of 6.83m which puts him at NCCAA #2 ranked. Young came back in the triple jump with a ninth-place performance of 13.63m. Corey Smith was just ahead of Young in the triple jump with his mark of 13.88m.
 
In the sprints, Elijah Moore was 18^th in the 60m semi-finals with a time of 7.09. Maikyah Stowe placed 22^nd in the 400m dash at 52.00 and Barrye trotter placed 33^rd with a time of 53.04. Amarion Morrison was 13^th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.18.
 
Seth Cartwright came close to a key scoring position in the shot put with a 12^th place finishing mark of 13.24m.
 
Campbellsville will now travel to Cedarville, Ohio February 11-12 for the NCCAA National Championships.
