Bearcats win defensive battle over Tigers 1-0

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. –The Campbellsville Tigers baseball team hosted the Brescia University Bearcats on Tuesday afternoon for a single nine-inning game. The Tigers fell to the Bearcats, 1-0.

Kam Robertson and the Tigers retired all three Bearcats to begin the ball game. Samio Uze singled to third base to become the first Tiger to reach base. Uze stole second base but was left stranded. The Bearcats reached base on a fielder's choice and advanced on error. On a wild pitch and another error, the Bearcats sent a runner across the plate to take an early lead in the top half of the second inning.  In the bottom half of the inning, Cameron Castaneda was given free bases after being hit by a pitch. Cameron Castaneda stole second but was left on base.

Kicking things off in the fourth inning, The Bearcats' batter was hit by a pitch to put a runner on base.
