Match Recap: Men's Tennis | | CU Athletics

Tigers fought hard but unable to best Cumberlands on the road falling 7-0

WILLIAMSBURG, KY – Campbellsville was unable to get things going throughout the warm day in Williamsburg with the Patriots sweeping the Tigers 7-0 on the road.
 
Jan Stolin and Satoshi Yamada came close to a victory in ones during doubles play. The duo fell (4-6). Sebastian Toledo and Nicolas Andrade had a similar score line but could not finish off their opponent and also falling (4-6).
 
Yamada was the only Tiger who was able to come close to a near victory during singles play Wednesday afternoon. Yamada pushed his match to three sets after coming back in the second set. The final score of the match was (6-7, 6-2, 10-4) in favor of Cumberlands Martin Muller.
 
Campbellsville will look to get back in the win column on Saturday April 2nd when they face the University of Pikeville. First serve is schedule to be at 3 p.m. at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex.
