OWENSBORO, KY – The Tigers spent Good Friday on the road at the Brescia Bearcat Twilight Invitational.
David Young earned his first win of the outdoor season. Young led the way for the Tigers with his performance in the triple jump with a mark of 12.83m while
Jaron Hamby was the runner-up in the event with his mark of 12.40m.
Greg Carr had a busy day around the track. Carr scored in the long jump and 110 hurdles. In the long jump, Carr placed 5
th overall with a mark of 6.56m while in the 110 hurdles he was 5
th once again at 17.03 across the line. Joining Carr in the long jump was
Corey Smith who placed 6
th with a distance of 6.37m. Zahnte Brown was 6
th in the 110 hurdles at 17.76.
Finishing off the jumps was the high jump and pole vault.
Blake Skaggs and
Cainan Daniels earned five points in the pole vault. Skaggs placed 6
th with a height of 3.20m while Daniels was 7
th overall at 2.90m.
CamRon Hamby brought in two point in the high jump placing seventh at 1.85m.
Elijah Moore was able to bring in a close 6
th place finish in the 100m while crossing the line in 11.14. In the 400m dash,
Maikyah Stowe and
Barrye Trotter had six points come out of the event. Stowe dipped under the 52 mark with his time of 51.49 while Trotter was 7
th overall with his time of 52.21.
Aiden Tucker and
Jarrett Crawford were the only distance athletes to bring in points for the Tigers on the night. Tucker placed 4
th in the 1500m with his time of 4:09.49 while Crawford was in the 3,000m steeplechase with his performance of 10:40.67.
Campbellsville will return to the track April 22-23 at the University of Kentucky Invitational.
