GREENVILLE, ILL – When it mattered most, the Tigers were able to position themselves at the end of the meet to a fourth place finish.
Lukas Smithson led the way for the Tigers on day three earning his All-American status in the 3,000m steeplechase. Smithson closed hard over the last 300m of the race to pull away from Jeremiah Perry of Greenville to earn runner-up in a time of 10:03.17.
The 4x100m relay may not have earned a podium spot, but they were able to punch their ticket to the big dance in two weeks and setting a new school record by .03 seconds.

Elijah Moore,
Jackson Harrell, and
Chance Lucas were able to keep the handoffs crisp to run a 41.81 and NAIA B Standard.
Sam Kiser closed out his Campbellsville career in the 1500m run earning four points and placing fifth overall in a time of 3:58.58. Greg Carr was on the heals of third place in the 110m hurdle final. Carr was fourth in the race at 16.18 while third was 16.03.
In the 200m dash, times were slower compared to Thursday preliminary round. Harrell and Moore both walked away earning the team four points. Harrell placed sixth running 22.21 while Moore was eighth at 23.37.
Carr and
Corey Smith both scored key points coming from the long jump on the afternoon. Carr placed fourth in the event with his best jump coming on his third attempt at 6.84m. Smith's best jump of 6.72m came on his final attempt earning him seventh.
Seth Cartwright was the final Tiger to score points for the team. Cartwright was fresh going into the shot put after not competing in anything throughout the week. Cartwright placed sixth in the event with a throw of 13.77m coming off his second throw.
Campbellsville placed fourth overall in the NCCAA Outdoor Championships this year with 92.00 team points.
The Tigers will now prepare to head down south in two weeks for the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala. from May 25-27.
Campbellsville will be competing across three different events.
