BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Tigers couldn't get past the red-hot Freed-Hardeman offense.
FHU would have a runner reach base in every single inning of the contest. They would rack up 13 runs, on 12 hits with no errors defensively.
The Tigers would get two aboard in the third inning via the HBP. Campbellsville would barrel up a few more, but better leather flashed by the Lions kept CU off the board.
Campbellsville would muster a few hits in the fifth and sixth before a prime opportunity in the seventh. With two outs, CU had the bases loaded with
Chad McCann in a pitch-hit situation. A well struck ball into right center found the warning track but wasn't enough to clear the bases.
Tyler Duskin would go the complete way for Freed-Hardeman. He threw 130 pitches, allowed four hits, six strikeouts, and only three walks.
Eddy Arteaga finished 2-for-3 at the plate, half of CU's hits.
Jorge Gonzalez and
Josiah Clark made up the other two hits.
The Tigers finish up their Mid-South Conference run with a season record of 25-24.
