CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – CamRon Hamby is set to compete in the USA Track and Field U-20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon June 23-25.
 
Hamby is one of the top jumpers in the triple jump at this year's championships. He set the school record at the NAIA National Championship back in late May with a mark of 14.98m. The previous record was held by Garland Webb at 14.95m. He was named the Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year for indoor and outdoor track season.

CamRon won the NCCAA Indoor National Championship crown during his rookie season and was an All-American at the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships this year. During the Mid-South Conference Championships he placed second during the indoor season and third during the outdoor season in the triple jump.
 
Hamby will have the chance to represent Team USA at the U-20 World Championships if he places in the top three at the U-20 championships. 

Going into the meet, CamRon will have loads of competition to deal with. Jaden Trimble Patterson from the University of Kansas placed eighth at both indoor and outdoor Big12 Championships, he comes in with a season best of 15.54m. Soloman Washington also a Big12 product from Texas narrowly missed an NCAA Championships placement placing 16th in the West Preliminary round at 15.59m. The Big East triple jump champion Marc Morrision will be in attendance with Hamby with his season best at 14.60m.

The USATF U-20 Championships begin June 23rd. CamRon will jump on Saturday June 25 at 3:25 PT / 6:25 ET. Fans can watch CamRon jump at this link throughout the weekend as the USATF Outdoor National Championships will take place at the same time as the U-20 Youth Championships for their spots on the world team.
