Tiger golf went down 55 to hit the links at The Pines, ends 5th of 7

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Several Tigers traveled down Highway 55 to take part in the Lindsey Wilson Invite at The Pines on August 29th and 30th. Due to circumstances, only the "B" team partook in the invitational, but still they finished fifth of seven teams present.

The first day of action consisted of two rounds in which Chase Wilson led the Tigers shooting -1 (69) in round one. He nearly matched that same production in round two shooting +2 (72), finishing the day tied for 11th at +1. Following Wilson, the Tigers had Ethan Harlow who shot +8 in the first round (78) and +2 in the second round (72), good for 23rd on the day and Clay Barnett T-26th at +13 (78 and 75). Isaac Powell was 30th at +12, Tucker Toone ended his day 36th at +19 (78 and 81) and rounding out Campbellsville's efforts was Austin Stockdale who was 43rd shooting +37 (90 and 87).

Day two continued the action, the Tigers were able to shoot their best score as a team in round three with a 293. This was not enough to push them any higher in the leaderboards though and they left the Pines fifth out of seven teams. The freshman Wilson once again led the Tigers and had a good showing as he finished T-12th and carded +2 (72) on the day for a final score of +3. Wilson was followed by Harlow who carded a +2 (72) in the third round of play and came in 23rd at +12. Barnett was able to fight back from a rocky first round to end with a +2 (72) last round leaving him +15 for the invite at 27th. The rest of the scoring break down for the Tigers had Powell finishing the day +7 (77) and +19. Toone was +9 (79) in round three and +23 for the invite while Stockdale shot +17 (87) on the day and was +54.

Sebastian Sandin of Lindsey Wilson captured the individual title, scoring a 16-under-par (194: 64-60-70) total for his three rounds which was a program best and the lowest ever 18-hole round at The Pines bringing him to a one-stroke victory.

The Tigers will appear next in the Vincennes University Invite at the Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery, Indiana on September 10th and 11th.
