COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Lady Tigers added some more hardware to their collection for their first tournament of the 2022-23 year at the Welcome Back Tournament. The Lady Tigers were victorious, led by Shelbi Morris who finished second individually.
 
The Lady Tigers finished first out of seven teams scoring 8315 for nine single games. They bested Mid-South Conference team Midway University by just 22 pins to win the tournament. Morris, Mirena Combs, and Shalya Atherton contributed scores of 199, 189, and 186 averages respectively. Morris's 199 average and high game of 246 earned her second place in the All-Tournament Team, falling short of first place by 80 pins.
 
The Lady Tigers will follow up this past weekend with their first Mid-South Conference Tournament of the year on Saturday, The MSC Baker Bash in Richmond, Kentucky.
