PALM HARBOR, Fla. – The Lady Tigers golf team traveled down to the Dalton State Invite in Palm Harbor, Florida. The Lady Tigers finished shooting +71 as a unit and finished 10
th in the team standings.
The first round was dominated by
Connor Geralds who shot -1 through the front nine. Geralds was able to leave the first round 1 under par. Following behind Geralds was
Paige Ferguson shooting +7. Ferguson played consistently shooting +3 on the front and +4 on the back nine.
Priya Latchayya followed behind shooting +14,
Kennedy Daughtry was behind Latchayya at +16, and rounding out play for the Lady Tigers was
Belle Crawford shooting +24.
The second round was still led by Geralds for the Lady Tigers. Geralds struggled through a tough front nine shooting +4, but the back nine was redemption for Geralds as she finished at +1. Geralds ended the round shooting +5. Ferguson followed in suit behind Geralds shooting +9 on the day bringing in +6 on the front and +3 on the back. Latchayya finished one stroke back from Ferguson at +10, and one stroke back from Latchayya was Daughtry who shot +11.
Belle Crawford shot +16 for the round.
Round 3 of the invitational was canceled due to complications from Hurricane Ian.
Geralds finished the best for the Lady Tigers finishing at the top of the leaderboard T-4
th (+4). Ferguson followed behind Geralds T-41
st (+16), Latchayya finished T-57
th (+24), Daughtry was 60
th overall (+27) , and finally Crawford finished 65
th overall (+40).
Next, the Lady Tigers will be in Silvis, Illinois for the TPC Deer Run on October 17th and 18th.
