CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University Tigers soccer team took on the #5 Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders Wednesday night. The battle of Highway 55 ended in Lindsey Wilson's favor after an 85th-minute goal from the Blue Raiders, 2-1.

The Tigers got off to a hungry start to begin the game. There was a back-and-forth physical battle between both teams. Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson's physical battle was attested by the number of fouls in the first half alone. Lindsey Wilson put one in the back of the net to give them the advantage, 1-0. The Tigers looked to fight back, but it wasn't enough before the end of the first half.

An electric opening to the second half was credited to Diego Chainho. Chainho put one into the back of the net, assisted by Marc Boye, to give the Tigers their first goal, 1-1. After the match-tying goal, the Tigers looked to continue their momentum. Lindsey Wilson bounced back with a late second-half goal, giving them the final push over the Tigers. The Tigers fell short at the end of the second half, 2-1.

Lindsey Wilson out-shot Campbellsville 17 to 11 respectively. With a back-and-forth physical battle, Campbellsville committed fewer fouls on the night, seven to their ten.

The Tigers will be back in action Monday, October 16th, at Finley Stadium in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to take on the Pioneers of Campbellsville University – Harrodsburg. The match is set to begin at 7 P.M. ET.
