Lady Tigers make second conference win against Lady Lions

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The (RV) Lady Tigers went on the road for Thursday night's match-up against the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions. As a testament of their unrelenting offense, Campbellsville won the game over Freed-Hardeman, 10-0.

Within the first couple of minutes in the first half, Angeline Kieh made an unsuccessful shot at the goal, saved by the opposing goalie. However, this did not discourage Kieh, producing three goals in the Lady Tigers' favor in the next five minutes of play. Both Olja Ivanovic and Lina Berrah collected a corner kick each for Campbellsville. Shortly after, Kieh and Berrah kicked goals for the Lady Tigers, continuing to widen Campbellsville's lead. The Lady Lions attempted a shot, saved by Rirei Sasaki. Kieh followed by landing another goal for the Lady Tigers. Berrah, Agatha Nimene, Bethin Boyle, Ivanovic, and Alex Glennie all attempted shots at the goal within the next five minutes of the half. With only 10 minutes left on the clock, Nimene made the seventh goal for Campbellsville. At the end of the first half, the Lady Tigers led the game 7-0.

Campbellsville had collected one save in the opening 45 minutes of the game while they put 17 shots up on the opposing end, compared to Freed-Hardeman's three saves and three shots.

The second half came to a slow offensive start, with neither team kicking any goals. Daniela Benavides attempted a shot after 10 minutes of play, saved by the opposing goalie. The latter 45 minutes of the game continued to unfold with a few corner kicks and header shots collected by the Lady Tigers. At the 80-minute mark, Glennie and Nimene both landed a goal each in Campbellsville's favor, followed by a goal from Melissa Wiley at the 85-minute mark, increasing the Lady Tigers' lead with a 10-point advantage over the Lady Lions. At the end of the game, Campbellsville won the game 10-0.

The Lady Tigers not only surpassed Freed-Hardeman with goals on the scoreboard, but Campbellsville also had 24 shots and 16 shots on goal compared to the Lady Lions' three shots and one shot on goal. However, Freed-Hardeman collected six saves, contrasted with the Lady Tigers' single save.

The Lady Tigers will be back in action, hosting the Georgetown College Tigers on October 30th, beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
