CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The (RV) Campbellsville Lady Tigers hosted the first round of the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday night. The Lady Tigers took on the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College. The Lady Tigers took a 6-1 win over the Blue Raiders to advance to the Mid-South Conference Semifinals.

Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson got off to a slow start. In the 16th minute of play, Angeline Kieh scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick. Just four minutes later, Kieh, assisted by Lina Berrah, sent another to the back of the net. Shots came from Olija Ivanovic and Kieh but were saved by the goalie. Before the end of the first half, Kieh earned herself a hat trick after scoring her third goal.

Much like the first half, the second half had a slower start. Shots came from Agatha Nimene and Bethin Boyle but were unsuccessful. In the 63rd minute, Berrah sent the fourth Lady Tiger goal to the back of the net and took a 4-0 lead over the Blue Raiders. Alex Glennie, Charlotte Maconachie, Boyle, and Nimene had attempted shots. In the 81st minute, Nimene, assisted by Ivanovic, gave the Lady Tigers their fifth goal of the night. After a shot attempt from Nimene with two minutes of play remaining, Glennie sent one to the back of the net. With 18 seconds on the clock, the Blue Raiders scored their first and final goal of the night, 6-1.

Campbellsville led the way in many statistical categories: shots (23-12), shots on goal (13-3), goals (6-1), and assists (2-0).

The Lady Tigers will move on to play in Williamsburg, Kentucky, to take on the University of the Cumberlands on Wednesday, November 8th, at 4:30 p.m. ET.
