BOWLING GREEN, KY – The fifth-seeded Lady Tigers competed in their first post-season tournament of the year, the Mid-South Conference Championship, over the weekend.
The tournament, held at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green, KY, consisted of a double elimination bracket where teams would bowl best-of-seven baker games out of twelve MSC teams. Campbellsville lost their first match of the day to twelfth-seeded Thomas More 2-4, with many of their games being decided by less than ten pins (147-149, 148-157, 180-189, 169-156, 183-167, and 135-136). The girls had a nice three-hour long break before their second competition of the day in the losers bracket versus tenth-seeded Tennessee Wesleyan. They fell to 1-4 and were then eliminated from the tournament (178-226, 181-164, 187-223, 153-200, and 187-226).
The last scheduled tournament for the Lady Tigers is the 54th Annual Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, IN, this weekend, February 18th and 19th. The Tigers will look to perform well at this tournament to be invited to attend the USBC Collegiate Sectionals Tournament, where they need to place in the top 64 teams country-wide.
