BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Campbellsville Men's Golf has now won two of the Mid-South Conference's past three championships, taking home the trophy Tuesday afternoon.
Kobe Hill spearheaded the Tigers' surge, taking first place overall at -5.
Bowling Green Country Club played host to the event and was witness to Campbellsville's comeback. After each of the first two rounds, the Tigers' were third sitting at total scores of 301 and 298 respectively. They trailed reigning champion and first-place University of the Cumberlands by 12 strokes. However, Campbellsville shot a 283 (-5) tournament-best in round three to capture the championship. Lindsey Wilson and Cumberlands came in tied for second overall.
Hill completed his play with an eagle on the 18th hole, finishing the tournament 5-under par (72-71-68).
Seth Bohl ended T-8th, carding 5-over par for the tournament. Teammates
Jon Brewington and
Landon Conner both tied for tenth place at +9.
Campbellsville earns one of the conference's two automatic bids into the NAIA National Tournament. The 71st NAIA National Tournament will be at the Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona May 16-19.
