High winds and heavy downpour couldn't hold back Macklin and Smith from top NAIA marks

BOWLING GREEN, KY – The Tigers battled through high winds and heavy downpours over the weekend and came away with top marks and times.

His mark of 7.40m won the meet, a new school record by .21m, and earned an NAIA A Standard. Macklin takes down previous record holder Garland Webb who had the record since 2019 of 7.19m. Corey Smith punched his ticket to the national championship in the triple jump.
