PORTSMOUTH, Ohio. - The Tigers travelled north to battle the Shawnee State Bears Saturday night. Campbellsville demonstrated tremendous offensive control over the ball, taking the win over the Bears 6-2. 

Within the first two minutes of the first half, Angeline Kieh collected two goals for the Tigers, the initial shot assisted by Charlotte Maconachie. The Bears were quick to attempt shots of their own, only to be repeatedly blocked by Rirei Sasaki, rendering their pursuit for a goal unsuccessful. Kieh's efforts continued to deliver points in Campbellsville's favor, scoring two other goals before the 20-minute mark. The Bears landed a goal shortly after. In a testament to Campbellsville's offensive control of the match, Agatha Nimene stood at the penalty line, successfully sinking the shot. The Tigers closed the first frame, winning over Shawnee 5-1. 

In the opening minutes of the second half, Sasaki continued to snag the Bears' shots at the goal. Both teams kept a strong defense, and little offensive action was seen for the next few minutes. However, at the 60-minute mark, Nimene landed another goal assisted by Ellie Ball, widening Campbellsville's lead. Shawnee State landed a goal in return shortly after. During the remainder of the latter 45 minutes, neither team scored any further, bringing the Tigers to a win over the Bears, 6-2. 

At the end of the game, the Tigers collected a total of 10 shots with nine on target, while the Bears totaled nine with seven on the frame. The Tigers' offense maintained a solid front against the Bears' defense, continuously scoring goals in their favor. 

The Tigers will be back in action, hosting the Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon University on August 29th, beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
