FAYETTE, Mo. — Early second-half goals by Olja Ivanovic and Agatha Nimene boosted the Campbellsville University to a 2-2 tie against #8 Central Methodist Tuesday. 

The Lady Tigers opened the first half in a physical battle with the Eagles. Early fouls from Campbellsville gave Central Methodist the opportunity to put one in the back of the net and the penalty kick made it 1-0 for the Eagles. The Lady Tigers responded with shots on goal from Olja Ivanovic in the 35th and Angeline Kieh in the 36th, but they would go into halftime a goal down. 

The second frame opened with the Lady Tigers in more control of the ball in the Eagle's territory. Shots from LuLu Harris and Chloe Holt allowed the pitch to open up which resulted in a goal from Olja Ivanovic in the 52nd minute and then a goal from Agatha Nimene only seconds later in the 53rd. The Lady Tigers were up 2-1, but their advantage wouldn't last. The Eagles were able to respond with success in their set piece to tie the match at 2. Campbellsville kept fighting until the very end with additional close shots on goal by Ivanovic and Nimene but, despite chances for the Lady Tigers in the closing minutes, the score remained knotted.

Campbellsville has faced a slew of ranked teams in the early part of this year, with all four losses coming to currently ranked teams. Against #8 Central Methodist, they had six shots on goal against the Eagles' two.

On Saturday, September 16th, the Tigers return to play as they host Missouri Baptist University in Finley Stadium. The match is set for 6 p.m. ET
