MONTGOMERY, Ind. – The men of Campbellsville University golf got their 2023-2024 season underway this past weekend competing at the Vincennes University Invitational. There they ran away with first place with a -8 round one and then a -4 second round.
The Tigers were led by
Kobe Hill (-5, 1) at Country Oaks Golf Course who went home with first place after competing in a playoff and hitting a birdie on the first hole in the extra round.
Kevin Latchayya came third at -3 (-1, -2) going under par in both rounds.
Carson Childress was tied fourth with
Chase Wilson at -1 on the tournament. The remainding member of Campbellsville's first-place team was
Shane Henderson who shot +6.
Campbellsville brought a second team with them too and they finished fifth of the ten teams present. Manu Garcia spearheaded that group tied with Henderson at +6.
The Tigers will next be in Athens, Alabama for the University of Tennesssee Southern Invitational. That will begin Sunday, September 17th.
