Three Tigers finish Top 6 at Sam Rayburn Reservoir

JASPER, Tex. – Sam Rayburn Reservoir was stop number three of the Hobie College Tour this past weekend.

Campbellsville had three anglers place inside the Top-6. Leading the way was Logan Wilson, in third place with 68". One spot below was teammate Mason Cheek with 56.50". Cody Cissell finished in sixth place with 24.50".

Coach Jones said a lot of positives came out of this tournament. "We had a good tournament. What was really good to see was the work all the guys put in together as a team. We practiced three days prior to the tournament, and they took it upon themselves to spend as much time on this body of water as possible. Daylight to dark every day. Over 40 hours of hard work in three days to prepare for this event. We all knew what was at stake, which was the team of the year race. We are behind the ball in second place, so to make a run with two events left in the season, we knew that we had to hold our ground in this event, which is exactly what we did. We are in a good spot to make a late-season run, and I feel confident we can do that with the next two events being close to home. Even with a couple of tough breaks at this event, this team is firing on all cylinders. I'm excited to see what our young talent can do alongside our senior leadership to finish this season out."
