SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – On Thursday, the Tigers traveled north to Illinois to battle the Roosevelt University Lakers. The Tigers' fierce offense kept control over the scoreboard, winning the game 3-1. 

The first half was set in motion with a slow start. Within the first 15 minutes, Roosevelt attempted one shot at the goal, as Campbellsville was yet to attempt any shots of their own. Halfway through the first half, Ace Barker and Felix Baubeng attempted shots for Campbellsville, but both rendered unsuccessful. With 15 minutes left on the clock, Nicolo Lanari made the match's first goal with his stellar shot. The Lakers trailed the Tigers 1-0 as the first half ended. 

At the half, the Tigers had snagged two saves out of the five shots at the goal, matching almost identically to the Lakers' two saves out of four shots. Roosevelt were at two corner kicks compared to Campbellsville's one corner. Lanari's goal allowed the Tigers to enter the second half with the advantage. 

Zeezo Cassim set the second half into motion with a goal for the Tigers. Tomas Sosa and Baubeng attempted shots at the goal, both unsuccessful in their attempts but Roosevelt did not have any successful shots either in response. At the 80-minute mark, Pablo Garcia added another goal for Campbellsville. A few minutes later, the Lakers logged their first goal of the match. The game ended, and the Tigers won 3-1. 

The Tigers will be back in action for their second up north in Chicago, Illinois, to go against the Saint Xavier University Cougars on September 9th, beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET.
