LOUISVILLE, KY – The Tigers split squads this weekend, with part of the team attending the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational and the other part attending the IUPUI Invitational.
At the Lenny Lyles Invitational, Campbellsville improved upon their marks for the 2024 season.
Corey Smith led the way in the triple jump. Smith hit a mark of 14.94m, placing 5th, setting a school record, and is now ranked 2nd in the NAIA on his final jump of the day.
CamRon Hamby improved on his NAIA mark, placing behind Smith in 6th in Louisville. Hamby hit 14.67m, placing 6th, and is now ranked 6th in the NAIA.
Matthew Mays was the final triple jumper to make a mark on the day. Mays is ranked 4th in the NAIA but only hit 14.43m on the afternoon, placing 9th.
In the high jump,
Zachary Mason placed 6th with a height of 1.85m on his final attempt.
Raylon Wilson was behind Mason in 7th with a height of 1.80m.
Kilan Macklin was .01m off his PR on Saturday, hitting 7.14m in the long jump, placing 7th. Macklin is currently ranked 14th in the nation.
Chance Lucas hit a top-ten in the 60m, placing 10th overall in 7.07.
Maikyah Stowe was next, placing 10th in the 400m. Stowe went sub-50 for the second time this season, running 49.85.
The 4x400m relay was 1.54 seconds off an NAIA Standard over the weekend.

Alexander Boyd, Jr.,
Zachary Phelps, and Stowe ran a school record time of 3:20.85 while needing a 3:19.31 for NAIA Standard.
In Indianapolis, Campbellsville had four athletes compete in the heptathlon.
Van Thrasher,
Gregory Carr,
Cainan Daniels, and
Malachi Crawford. Thrasher set the school record for points in the heptathlon with 4,277, placing 6th overall. Carr was 7th with 3,993, Daniels placed 9th with 3,868, and Crawford was 12th with 3,538 points.
The Tigers will now look ahead to the NCCAA Indoor Championships February 9-10 in Cedarville, Ohio.
