Kilan Macklin secured NAIA All-American honors to his resume on Friday, placing 4th with a new PR and school record.
Macklin was off to a hot start in the preliminary round, hitting 7.38m on his first attempt, which was a .01 school record and PR. He bested that on his third attempt of the day at 7.39m. He would hold his position in fourth through the finals to earn NAIA All-American honors.
CamRon Hamby placed in a tie for 16th in the high jump with a height of 1.97m. He cleared on his first attempt of the afternoon.
Elijah Moore tied his lifetime best in the 60m with a time of 6.83, placing 19th.
Van Thrasher and
Ishan Cooper were both in the 60m hurdle prelims on Friday. Thrasher placed 25th overall in 8.25, while Cooper was 30th in 8.43.
Isaac Kiprop placed 16th in the prelims of the 3,000m run while running a time of 8:41.59.
The Tigers will return to the track on Saturday for day three of the NAIA Championships with the triple jump to finish out the meet.
