CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.- The Lady Tigers hosted the Shawnee State Bears for the first home game of the season. Campbellsville closed their home debut with a victory against Shawnee State, 6-0.
In the opening minutes of the game, Oddny Helgadottir scored the first goal of the game assisted by Momo Chogyoji. With only ten minutes left on the clock, Chogyoji scored the Lady Tigers' second goal of the night.
Helgadottir carried Campbellsville's momentum with another goal assisted by Chogyoji. Milly Shakespeare's saves continued to limit the Bears to zero, preserving the Lady Tigers' lead. Chogyoji continued to aid her fellow Lady Tigers in connecting with the goal, bringing Molly Metcalfe to score the fourth goal of the game. Magnolia Russell and Sayu Morisawa scored back-to-back goals with less than five minutes left in the match.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action traveling to Columbia, Missouri to battle the Columbia College Cougars on Thursday, August 29th beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
